The evidence

The power of referrals. Backed by the data.

70%
More good hires through referrals, measured by retention, performance, and offer acceptance.
Harvard Business Review, 2020
45%
Lower attrition among referred hires compared to non-referred hires of similar profiles.
NBER Working Paper 25920, 2019

Referrals consistently produce stronger hires and better retention. Fettle harnesses that power, with a verified network, professional screening, and a placement guarantee that turns recommendations into successful, lasting hires.

For Clients

Hiring through Fettle, step by step.

— I —

Post your role

Tell us who you need, where the role is based, and the package on offer. Upload your existing job description or ad. Salary disclosure is required (base + super), and the fee tier is set by the package.

We then craft a properly written advert that sells the opportunity to the right candidates: what makes the role worth leaving their current job for, what the team and the work actually look like, what's in it for them. Listed on the Fettle Network with your identity protected until a candidate is engaged.

No listing fee. No exclusivity. No long-term contract.

— II —

The network goes to work

Verified Fettle members in the relevant discipline see the role, along with members who work closely with that discipline and may know someone suitable. They can apply themselves or refer someone they personally vouch for. Members earn $2,000 or $3,000 when their introduction is hired, depending on the seniority of the role.

Some of the best candidates aren't actively looking. Referrals can still reach them.

— III —

We screen and qualify

Every candidate is checked before they reach you. AHPRA registration, qualifications, work history, and a proper conversation about fit and intent. We only forward candidates who match the brief and are genuinely interested.

No spray-and-pray. Three considered names beat thirty CVs.

— IV —

You meet, decide, hire

You interview the shortlist directly. Fettle supports the process: coordinating times, preparing both sides, helping with offer negotiation if needed.

References are taken at offer stage, when the candidate has agreed to be put forward. This protects their position with their current employer and means everyone's time is used well.

When you make an offer and it's accepted, the placement is made.

— V —

Pay only when it lands

A flat fee per placement, payable on the candidate's start date. Three-month placement guarantee included.

If the placement doesn't last, we replace at no additional fee.

A note on the fee
The Fettle fee covers our professional work: candidate validation, registration checks, referencing, offer support, and the guarantee. The introduction itself is the easy part. Turning it into a successful hire is the work.
What to expect

We can't promise when you'll hire. We can promise when you'll hear from us.

Healthcare roles fill at different speeds depending on discipline, seniority, and location. We won't pretend otherwise. What we will commit to is keeping you properly informed at every stage.

— I —

Within 24 hours of posting

Your crafted advert is live on the Fettle Network and distributed to a curated list of relevant members.

— II —

No more than 7 days between updates

You'll hear from us at least weekly with progress: who's seen the role, who's expressed interest, who's been shortlisted, and any honest read on how it's tracking.

Candidates sent as they're qualified

Strong candidates aren't held back to fit a schedule. As soon as someone's been screened and is genuinely interested, you see them.

Pricing

One flat fee. No percentages. No surprises.

For Members

Three ways to use Fettle. All of them free.

The Fettle Network is open to any registered medical or healthcare professional in Australia. Membership is free, and you choose how active you want to be.

Joining

Some simple checks. Then you're in.

Sign up with your name, email, mobile, and AHPRA number. We verify your email, your mobile, and your registration against the public AHPRA register. You also tell us your discipline and any adjacent disciplines you work alongside. Once verified, you're in.

Stay informed

Curated opportunities, sent when they're worth a look.

Members can choose to receive a regular email of opportunities that match their discipline and location. No spam, no irrelevant noise. Just opportunities worth considering, with the full advert and package on offer.

Applying

See an opportunity that fits? Apply directly.

Members can apply to any open opportunity through the network. Your details stay private until you choose to engage with a role, so you can look without your current employer knowing.

Whether you are considered suitable for the opportunity or not, you'll hear from Fettle with an update on the opportunity status.

Referring

Vouch for someone. Get paid when your referral passes their probation period.

When you see an opportunity that suits someone you know, refer them. Fettle handles the conversation and the screening. If they're hired and complete their three-month probation, you're paid $2,000 or $3,000 depending on the seniority of the role. This protects everyone, Fettle, the client, and you, from placements that don't stick.

Why we verify with AHPRA
Every Fettle member is a registered healthcare practitioner. No CV-farms, no random sign-ups, no agency recruiters in the network. The standing of the network depends on who's in it.
The Member Tier System

Proven referrers. Recognised properly.

Every Fettle referrer has a tier, Bronze, Silver, or Gold, based on how many people they've successfully introduced and how those placements were rated by the hiring employer.

When a referrer's introduction reaches a client, their tier and standing travel with it. A senior clinician who has placed multiple people through Fettle, with strong feedback, carries that history forward. Their next introduction lands with more weight than it would otherwise.

Bronze

New members and first introductions.

Every member starts here. Bronze members can refer freely and earn the same fees as anyone else.

Silver

Trusted referrers with a track record.

Members who have made successful introductions move to Silver. Their referrals carry the weight of demonstrated judgment.

Gold

Senior referrers, multiple placements, high ratings.

The most active and respected members in the network. Gold-tier introductions are flagged accordingly when they reach clients.

For clients

Context that matters.

When you receive a Fettle candidate, you'll see the referring member's tier and a brief note from the previous employer who hired their last introduction. Useful context, not just another CV.

A few principles

How Fettle works, quietly.

Salary transparency, always. Every Fettle role lists the package up front. No "competitive" or "DOE." Candidates and clients deserve to know what they're talking about from the first conversation.

No spray-and-pray. Fettle members refer people they would personally vouch for. We only forward candidates we have screened and qualified. Three considered names beat thirty CVs.

Referrers paid properly. A Fettle Network member whose introduction is hired and stays past probation earns $2,000 on a standard role, $3,000 on a senior one. Paid by Fettle out of our placement fee, not as an extra cost to the client.

Honesty about what we are. Fettle is a small, growing network. We don't pretend to be a database with thousands of clinicians. We focus on the right people, the right roles, and a process that respects everyone's time.
